AA Summer Pavilion
Posted by Greg Weinstein | Filed under Art, Installation

Here we show you this years winning installation at the Architectural Association (AA) summer pavilion in Bedford Square, London. We’re not 100% certain as to what it is exactly but…It is titled “Driftwood” and is made from Plywood. (We find ourselves uncertain once again however this time as to the correlation of name to materials used)
We give the artist, 3rd year AA student Danecia Sibingo, props for its sheer magnitude, and for transporting it from the 350-acre campus and workshop in West Dorset, to its final resting spot at Bedford Square.
We’re not sure whether or not to skate it or have King Kong himself adorn it as a headpiece. But, considering this won Architectural Association “best” installation, its meant to be utilized as human shelter…definitely beats the bus stop during a rain storm.
We’ll catch you on the rebound
