We recently caught up with Mark McNairy in the midst of his DQM collaboration to answer a few questions for us. The designer breaks down the collaboration for us in a quick five minutes and in five questions. The project includes three exclusive shoe designs, a Navy Suede Long Wing Brogue, a Black Suede Chukka Boot, and a Grey Suede Cap Derby Boot which all feature McNairy’s signature details such as the red brick and crepe soles, as well as a skateboard deck. Throughout the summer of 2010, a limited run of 48 pairs will be created of each Nexus style. The shoes will be available exclusively at David Z’s flagship store in New York as well as davidz.com. Bloggers will each bring their own angle and story to their blogs to communicate the Nexus Project. The entire collaboration was filmed by Jake Davis on location in the Dominican Republic. Last night was the Casio Exilim event, it showcased Casio’s new product the Exilim in a very creative way. Casio gave the camera phone to a list of creatives to document their day to day lives and was on exhibit last night. The camera is super dope, it is waterproof which is unreal, and has a 5.4 mega pixel camera. It is now available on their web store check it out! More flicks on the flip.
