An elegant column of carousels – all carved from the same piece of solid ash – swivel out to reveal spare buttons, rivets, thread spools etc. Over 50 hand-cut leather discs fasten a webbing of straps to safely secure the tools of the jeanmakers trade. Wire-whipped vertical shock cords weave the solid ash shelving together, creating a virtually weightless securing method for garments, while custom steel dogs and unique tapered ash plugs literally stitch the shelves into place

Designed by Mark McNairy and made by Sanders & Sanders in Northampton, the New Amsterdam collection is a merging of modern with heritage design to great effect. Using the finest materials and incorporating McNairy’s astute eye for detail to create one of the most anticipated collections of recent year.

The shoe consists of premium full grain leather uppers with a natural rubber crepe sole, double buckle monk strap fastening, toe cap detail and is fully leather lined. Available now at End Clothing.

Although workwear and rugged are both heavyweights in when it comes to menswear inspiration in recent years, Paul Smith is one that usually strays from that path. This season however, it was a nice change to see the Jeans line delivering some strong revamped takes on a few staples, such as the donkey jacket.

Seize sur Vingt recently released the first in a series of short films featuring the men’s and women’s Fall/Winter 2011 collections. Shot in Nolita, where the original Seize sur Vingt store was located, the Donegal tweed suit worn by the main character will be available in five colors in late October, and many of the shirts featured are available online and at Seize sur Vingt’s SoHo and Plaza stores now.

It is for the love of craftsmanship, attention to detail and the strength and depth of their innate relationship with the ocean that sets the tone of the aesthetic for this Fall/Winter 2011 Collection from the style ambassadors of the Ocean – Two Thirds.

Trousers are fundamentally chino’s with tapered silhouettes in lux fabrics that dip their toes in the ocean alongside technical outerwear pieces and Zissou meets Cousteau style beanies.
