Quiksilver x The Standard Hotel | Summer 2010 Collection
Here’s a continuation of the collaboration between Quiksilver and The Standard Hotels that was originally launched in summer 2009. After a successful bicoastal partnership last year, they have joined forces once again to produce a new collection of four new custom Standard Boardshorts by Quiksilver, as well as Standard Sunglasses by Quiksilver and Shiseido sunscreen. The designs were inspired by the different Standard hotel locations, their respective color identities and vintage patterns, styles and prints from 80’s archives. This collection is limited edition and includes only 250 pieces of each product is available. The collection is available at the hotels’ vending machines as well as The Standard online shop.

To start off, an ice hotel is actually a very temporary structure. Its re made every year and is dependent on specific colder temperatures to sustain its survival. This hotel is aimed at travelers who look for that environmental experience. The lobby is filled with ice sculptures and unique food and beverages that are selected for these conditions. We wonder how their wi-fi system is.

W Hotel NYC | by BBG-BBGM

The W Hotel recently did some renovations by adding a number of new guest suites. Designed by architectual giants BBG-BBGM, the suites were conceived as “an urban oasis…a respite from the chaos of the city.” The new range A range of different layouts offer guests amenities such as soaring double height ceilings, lofted sleeping areas, and even spacious outdoor terraces. The Ace Hotel | NYC

The Ace Hotel is located in the bustling Flatiron District, at the corner of Broadway and 29th Street. This central Manhattan location puts guests within walking distance of Herald Square, The Empire State Building, Times Square and Chelsea. Ace Hotel x Arkitip x Generic Surplus Shoe & Tote Set

Arkitip got together with Generic Surplus to create a collaborative shoe/tote bag set for the Ace Hotel in Palm Springs. Both the sneakers and tote bag are made out of a breathable Cotton mesh material which is perfect for the usual weather in Palm Springs.
The Ace Hotel Palm Springs Shoe and Tote was designed and developed from the collaborative process between Arkitip, the Ace Hotel and Generic Surplus. In creating a shoe for the Ace Hotel we sought to capture the essence of Palm Springs and the eclectic style of the hotel grounds. We developed a new mesh material that’s breathable for the desert heat, quick drying and non slip for the pool side servers. Considering the Palm Springs environment and the design elements of the hotel, the creation of this new mesh material lends itself perfect to manage water and the desert heat.

The Joule Hotel

Here we have the Joule in Dallas, TX. The hotel is nothing but sleek, stylish & sexy, naturally being a Star Wood hotel. The restoration of the 1920’s neo-Gothic facade is further enhanced by a new 129 room, 10-story tower and striking lobby. With elegant ambience and exhilarating contemporary design by Tihany Design, the building’s legacy of scale allows for high columns enhanced with a new sweeping dark lime oak beam.
