The Timberland Premium Waterproof Boot is a worldwide footwear icon, long appreciated for its rugged styling and dependability in the outdoors. Thanks to the design and material innovations featured with its debut in the fall of 1973 the boot has remained largely unchanged since then, but for the fall 2011 season that all changes. This upcoming season sees Timberland’s exclusive anti-fatigue technology absorbing shock and returning energy to keep feet comfortable all day. The boots will feature premium full-grain and nubuck leathers that are waterproof and durable, classic rubber lug outsoles that provide traction and padded collars that create a comfortable fit around the ankle. The anti-fatigue comfort footbed and flexible forefoot construction will be introduced in a range of Timberland men’s silhouettes for fall 2011 seeing the release of the 6” Premium, Roll-Top, Flat Wedge, Chukka, Winter Lug and Oxford. The updated boots will hit retail stores worldwide in mid-August.

In celebration of this upgrade to Timberland’s original boot, fans can upload an image or share their Timberland stories on a new “Original Boot” tab on Timberland’s Facebook Page. Consumer-submitted images will appear alongside brand-new “Man-on-the-Street” imagery, captured in New York City, Chicago and San Francisco by acclaimed photographers William Yan and Amy Creyer. Donald Glover, AKA Childish Gambino, has been taking the music industry by storm with his incredible career as not only a rapper, but as an actor, musician, writer, comedian and model. His latest focus has been rapping under the name Childish Gambino which has earned him credit from those form all over. His upcoming album is titled Camp and features album art by Ibra Ake. Chinese artist Liu Bolin presents his first solo exhibition in New York. The special opening at Eli Klein Fine Art features the continuation of artist’s Hiding In The City photo series as well as the presentation of new works. The exhibition is called “The Invisible Man” and will run until August 28th, 2011.

Arrested Motion

Also known as Zombie Boy, Canadian fashion model Rick Genest was approached by GQ Italia for an interesting spread in this month’s magazine. The spread was shot by Aline & Jacqueline Tappia while styled by Peter Cardona. The shoot captures the model’s 80% of his body that comes tattooed and is seen wearing a few new formal and casual pieces released this season.
