We recently caught up with Mark McNairy in the midst of his DQM collaboration to answer a few questions for us. The designer breaks down the collaboration for us in a quick five minutes and in five questions. The project includes three exclusive shoe designs, a Navy Suede Long Wing Brogue, a Black Suede Chukka Boot, and a Grey Suede Cap Derby Boot which all feature McNairy’s signature details such as the red brick and crepe soles, as well as a skateboard deck. Coming hard with the boat shoe and loafer models, American designer Mark McNairy and Maine company Bass Weejuns give us quite a diverse group of shoes. They decided to keep everything simple, which is always better, and come strong with the use of quality materials and fabrics. Slated to his stores next season, the shoes will cost you from $300 to about $3,000 for the alligator skin pair. We love them, especially that blue suede. Elvis probably wants his cut from those.
