Meridian Audio For The Savoy Hotel | Limited Edition M80 Compact Entertainment System

Meridian Audio, Britain’s leading specialist manufacturer of high-end audio and video entertainment equipment, has developed a Limited Edition of the recently launched Meridian M80 compact entertainment system exclusively for The Savoy in London. Guests in 55 of the newly-refurbished suites, which re-open on 10th October 2010 following the £220 million restoration of The Savoy, will be entertained by beautiful room-filling sound courtesy of the exquisitely-sculpted M80 which features a high gloss black finish, manufactured solely for the world-famous property. Hand-assembled in Meridian’s Cambridgeshire-based production facility, the stylish M80 offers an unrivalled listening experience, and further develops the elegant design and state- of-the-art engineering which made its predecessor, the highly acclaimed F80, one of the company’s best-selling models. The M80’s discreet, yet stylish cabinet, houses a powerful 80-watt 2.1 Digital Signal Processing (DSP) stereo system with a rear-mounted subwoofer, slot-loading CD/DVD drive, and AM/FM/DAB Digital Radio, as well as multiple analogue and digital inputs that combine to deliver both a versatile and powerful audio package.

Furthermore, Meridian’s advanced Digital Signal Processing (DSP) capability, coupled with location compensation controls, ensure the same superior acoustic performance at any volume, regardless of the size of the suite and where the M80 is placed within it. Visitors can equally use the compact system to listen to any track stored on their iPod thanks to the complementary Meridian i80 dock, offering The Savoy’s customers the opportunity to realise the full potential of their digital music library in the hotel’s breathtaking surroundings while away from home. The system also comes complete with a slimline handheld magnetic- backed remote control for ease of use, thereby allowing users to operate the M80 from a distance within the room.
