DQM x Mark McNairy | 5 Questions With Mark McNairy

We recently caught up with Mark McNairy in the midst of his DQM collaboration to answer a few questions for us. The designer breaks down the collaboration for us in a quick five minutes and in five questions. The project includes three exclusive shoe designs, a Navy Suede Long Wing Brogue, a Black Suede Chukka Boot, and a Grey Suede Cap Derby Boot which all feature McNairy’s signature details such as the red brick and crepe soles, as well as a skateboard deck. Here we have a concept for the Nikon Coolpix Series. The concept was designed by Nikolay Komarov. The design gives us a feel of a new school look with a old school feel. The camera features a leather trim and a silver body. The Good Grip with its parallelogram shaped body, chrome center, and black trim brings in a classic futuristic look. The innovation with the Good Grip comes in the form of a new and improved user interface. Another speculated feature is the digital interface with analogue buttons and big icons instead of multilevel nested menus. No word on if the camera will be put into production, but if it does youll be the first to know. Detailed images on the flipside.
