Creative Control | DD172 Grand Opening
“If you build it, they will come”. The old adage from the film “Field of Dreams” strikes true as Damon Dash has built an amorphous entity of music art, art and media under an inconspicuous TriBeCa NYC roof and on a brisk winter night, the people came. On February 19th, droves of artisans, art collectors and revelers collected at DD172 Dame’s workspace/playhouse for a night of art appreciation and music as the Dame Dash Gallery presented the works of Isaac Fortoul, Nyssa Frank, Bobby Castaneda, Heather Gargon, Hector Ruiz, and Jeremy Wagner. DJ Sucio Smash provided the soundscape as cavalcades of people came to appreciate the unveiling of a new center for artistic collaboration. For more info head over to Creative Control’s website.

Creative Control | Wiz Khalifa feat. The Disco Biscuits | Sweat Box

The Wiz Khalifa band wagon has been a long time coming. Built on the premise of hard work, the young Pittsburgh based rapper has built a fanbase just on touring and being consistent with his music. His everyman, stoner flow has turned into the organic accumulation of a rabid fan base, and that flow is evident here as Wiz stops by DD172 to record the song “Sweat Box” with Philadelphia based electronic band The Disco Biscuits.
