The new GANT Rugger leather goods program, launching in limited quantities exclusively online and at GANT stores in New York City, is produced by Tärnsjö Tannery; a small family owned company situated 2 hours north of Stockholm, Sweden. Tärnsjö is one of very few remaining tanneries in Europe where the process is still 100 % organic and based on traditions and techniques going back to 1873. For the first 25 years, the company was run by only 2 people and in the early 1900′s the company focused on equestrian equipment for local farmers. Tärnsjö is considered as one of the finest leather producers in the world and among others supply renowned Brooks with their saddle material, as well as a number of French Haute Couture brands with the finest leather for bags and other accessories.

GANT has opened a third stand-alone New York City location in the vibrant and stylish neighborhood of NoLita. The evolution of NoLita has quickly accelerated, offering the best of shopping, dining, and cultural attractions such as the New Museum, with convenient access to SoHo and the Lower East Side. In addition to GANT Rugger, the GANT by Michael Bastian line will be available, along with future limited-edition items exclusive to the store, such as a new leather goods collection later this fall. Located at 25 Prince Street between Elizabeth and Mott, the new 1000 square foot store showcases a larger, cleaner and brighter design. Peeling back decades of plaster, paint, and tile revealed rustic flooring, exposed walls, and vintage woodwork.

GANT | E-Commerce Website
GANT recently redesigned www.gant.com for the US market which now includes a US e-commerce section. Customers can now browse across all of their collections at once, or narrow their search results to only see certain categories or brands. GANT also created some new functionalities like ‘Shop the Look’, allowing customers to buy straight from the lookbook or advertising imagery. The site’s software also allows shopping on an iPhone and iPad for convenience.
