Mountain Dew, top-ranked skateboarder Paul Rodriguez, and legendary skate artist Don Pendleton today crowned Street Science Skate Shop (Tracy, Calif.) the king of the Mountain Dew Green Label Art: Shop Series contest. After four months, and over one million votes, Street Science bested six other regional finalists to win the $10,000 grand prize and the honor to have its artwork featured on a nationally distributed Mountain Dew can in 2011.

Paul Rogriguez and Don Pendleton inspired 35 skate shops across the country to partner with an artist and design a can for Mountain Dew. Only one of these shops is going to have their can distributed nationwide. You decide which cans win the regional competitions and become one step closer to national distribution. Green Label Art: Shop Series | Paul Rodriguez & Don Pendleton
Mountain Dew athlete Paul Rodriguez, along with artist Don Pendleton, kick off the Green Label Art: Shop Series collaboration this week at the first summer Dew Tour stop in Boston on June 25 – 27. Rodriguez and Pendleton collaborated on creating a Mountain Dew can for the program to inspire 35 skate shops in seven regions around the country that have entered the contest. Each skate shop has been asked to collaborate with a local artist of their choice to submit their own Mountain Dew can design, which will be featured and distributed to retailers nationally as an official Mountain Dew can in 2011.
