NOWNESS | Nigo: Human Made
To celebrate Nigo’s limited-edition vintage label, Human Made, being sold abroad for the first time, NOWNESS trailed the Japanese streetwear designer as he handpicked items for his personal collection at London emporium The Vintage Showroom. The force behind cult brand A Bathing Ape, as well as a long list of distinguished collaborations, Tokyo-based Nigo is a long-term vintage enthusiast, citing the rockabilly subculture he encountered as a teenager and 50s American rock and roll icons as prime influences. He brings the same attention to scouring clothing racks as he does to designing Mr Bathing Ape, the formal line he launched earlier this year to put his signature on Savile Row tailoring. NIGO’s NIGOLDEN Book Store
Shifting away from his Bathing Ape brand for a moment, NIGO presents his new pop-up bookstore, “NIGOLDEN Book Store.” Carrying rare books from his own collection in addition to popular novels, NIGO’s bookstore will carry everything related to design, culture and art. The shop will run from December 15th, 2010 to January 30th, 2011.

Mr. Bathing Ape X United Arrows | Spring/Summer 2010 Collection
A few months ago, it was confirmed that Nigo and the A Bathing Ape brand were going to release a collection with United Arrows titled “Mr. Bathing Ape”. Although their is still no word on an exact release date, we have some previews of the much anticipated collection. The infamous brand and Japanese retailer are set to release dress shirts, Regal slip-on loafers, hats, suits, ties and more.
