Orri Henrisson | Winter 2011 “First Snowfall In Montreal” Collection
Menswear label Orri Henrisson chalks up another first in the Australian blogosphere with their innovative Winter 2011 campaign. Shot by the talented Xiaohan Shen, a photographer and street style blogger, this is the second time designer Henry Ng has collaborated with a fashion blogger. The campaign was shot on location to mirror Ng’s lines of aesthetic interest and has been finished with post-production to reflect the muted colours and features of the collection. The campaign stars female model, Genevieve Welsh, and demonstrates the brilliance of Ng as a designer and forward thinker and reflects the versatility of Orri Henrisson’s designs. The campaign challenges the gender divide in fashion without sacrificing the masculine nature of Ng’s designs.

Orri Henrisson | Autumn/Winter 2011 “First Snowfall In Montreal” Short Film
For their current Autumn/Winter 2011 “First Snowfall In Montreal” collection, Orri Henrisson teamed up with music video director Liam Gilmour to work on a short film. The film depicts a timeless and barren wasteland presenting a fractured narrative of two characters portraying vastly different emotions, whose lives intersect, all be it briefly. The film attempts to show the power of image as opposed to linear storytelling, specifically focusing on light and the hard contrasts it presents.
