The Lost Art of the Film “Inglourious Basterds”

Upper Playground has teamed up with Quentin Tarantino and SA Studio’s to release the “Lost Art of Inglourious Basterds” to benefit the victims of the Haiti Earthquake.

SA Studios Global’s Film Marketing Division has teamed up with Quentin Tarantino, Upper Playground and The Weinstein Company to present, THE LOST ART OF INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS.

On February 18th, 2010 from 6p – 9p the world will get to preview and purchase the “Lost Art of Inglourious Basterds” at The Upper Playground Art Gallery in Downtown Los Angeles. All proceeds from this program will be donated to The American Red Cross to help the victims of the Haiti Earthquake.

This creative team has assembled the following select group of accomplished artists, David Choe, Sam Flores, Estevan Oriol, Grotesk, Jeremy Fish, Patrick Martinez, Alex Pardee, Dora Drimalas, Munk One, N8 Van Dyke, Rene Alamanza, Morning Breath and Skinner Davis, to create their own poster art based off their interpretation of the Oscar Nominated film, “Inglourious Basterds” artwork.

Walrus TV| Mark Bode Interview from “The Run Up”

Son of the legendary cartoonist Vaughn Bode, Mark Bode further channels and expands the “family style” through his own drawings, graffiti-inspired murals, tattoo work, and animations. Combining his father’s iconic figures, such as the Cheech Wizard and Cobalt 60, with his own variations and original characters, he creates artwork distinctly inspired by both past and present comic universes. Known especially for his days as the Undisputed Godfather of West Coast Pimpin’, OG legend and bluesman Fillmore Slim made a name for himself on the streets of San Francisco beginning in the late ’50′s that carries through today. He has since left the game to pursue his music career, but his iconic image is anything but forgotten. Rolling around SF in his Cadillac, he recounts his role in pimpin’, run-ins with the law, and what lead him back to his original love, the blues. Watch the interview on Walrus TV.
