Happy Socks by Wong Wong | World Cup Socks

Happy Socks have collaborated with designer Stephen Wong, head of NY design collective Wong Wong and former long time Art Director of Helmut Lang Studios, for a project that will see Stephen design an exclusive collection of socks specifically for the World Cup 2010. With inspiration sought from the world of football, the collection pays homage to the rich footballing cultural history of eight chosen nations from across the globe. Recognizable the world over for their colours, flags, and kits as well as their respected involvement in the world of football, the eight countries represented are Argentina, Brazil, England, France, Germany, Holland, Italy, South Africa. Six nations of the Eight in the HS x WW collection are previous World Champions, their total of victories are highlighted with an embroidered star signifying  number of titles won. Through this unique partnership, Happy Socks x Wong Wong are highlighting the importance of football as a colourful sport with passion and style at its roots that brings people together in unity. Released on the 21st of May, the socks will be available all over the world just in time for the World Cup 2010.
