Yuketen is a classic made in U.S.A. footwear and luggage company paying homage to America’s past. Designer Yuki Matsuda presented his latest Spring/Summer 2012 collection at the Capsule show in New York last week with plenty of new pieces to unveil. The new collection brings back favorites from previous seasons as Matsuda introduces new materials, colorways and products, such as belts, backpacks and wallets. Stay tuned.

Yuketen | Maine Guide Strap Boot
A name that needs no introduction, Yuketen is the brain child of Yuki Matsuda, working with Artisans across the US to recreate true American footwear classics. Each pair is lovingly hand-finished, perfectly representing the rich and vast heritage of shoe-making in America. The Maine Guide boot has been an iconic Yuketen design for a number of years, the rugged style is a reproduction of the moccasin boots worn by hunters America’s North East updated with a Vibram sole for added comfort and durability. The strap boot focuses on the functionality of the original Maine Guide boot, adding a leather strap and patterned blanket wool panels, with a level of finish that does real justice to the incredible materials and craftsmanship used in its manufacture.
Yuketen | Brown/Beige Ring Boots
From their Spring/Summer 2011 releases, Yuketen presents a new colorways of the popular Ring Boots made with handsewn crepe soles. The classic handmade in the US footwear by Yuki Matsuda and his team based in California comes in distressed brown soft leather, and thick athletic crepe sole unit. They feature beige topstitching and a beige leather strap with golden rivets and a ring buckle and the shoes come with a cotton shoe bag.
Yuketen | Sports Chukka Shoe
Classic hand-made in the US footwear by Yuki Matsuda and his team based in California, the Yuketen sports chukka has a natural crepe sole which makes it the perfect lightweight summer shoe. This style comes in a peanut colored leather and suede upper with the classic moccasin fringed tongue. There is also a changeable peanut or beige fringed tongue.
